At Roughrider Electric Cooperative, our priority is always our members. One of the clearest ways we show this commitment is through the return of Capital Credits, which allow everyone to benefit from the cooperative’s overall success.
Capital Credits reflect each member’s portion of the cooperative’s annual earnings, often called “margins.” These margins are determined by how much electricity a member uses throughout the year. When the cooperative’s revenue exceeds its operating costs, the remaining amount is allocated back to members as Capital Credits.
