Scholarship Applications Available

$8,500 in scholarships will be awarded in 2021.

Roughrider Electric wants to encourage and recognize the academic achievements of the members of Roughrider Electric Cooperative and /or their dependent children. We do this with scholarships to assist in their college education. We are developing leadership in our service territory by helping worthy scholarship recipients obtain a higher education.

All scholarships must be used for educational purposes. The student's parents must be members of Roughrider Electric and the student must enter college in the fall of the school year for which the scholarship is given.

Have you heard of the Cooperative Difference?

Two aspects of a cooperative make us different from other types of utilities.

Roughrider Electric Cooperative members are owners in the cooperative. We exist because of you. We were formed to bring safe and reliable electricity to our members--it's our mission and purpose. And our members elect fellow members to represent them on the board of directors, maintaining democratic control of the cooperative.

We are local.

When you need to talk to someone simply call or stop in and visit with a Roughrider employee right here in your community.
