Budget Billing
Roughrider Electric Cooperative, Inc. has available a Budget Billing or even monthly payment plan for any consumer who may desire to average electric energy payments.
The consumer must have been a consumer at least twelve months to establish a history of use and must be paid up in his monthly billings when he starts the budget billing. The budget amount is determined by the previous 12 months total billing which will be divided by 12. The Cooperative reserves the right to change the monthly bill any time if the consumer's usage is in excess of the estimate or if the electric rate is increased.
All budget billing accounts will be recomputed on the June billing. The monthly bills will be the same equal billing except for the month of June when any balance of $10.00 or more will be adjusted.
All budget billing accounts on self-billing will be required to submit a monthly meter reading with their payment.
Any and all policies will be complied with and enforced as though the consumer were not on the budget billing program.
Consumers failing to make the required payments on a timely basis may be dropped from the plan.
