MOTOR STARTING

  1. Across the line starters may be used on motors up to and including 25 horsepower.

  2. Motors larger than 25 horsepower shall be started only with reduced voltage starters unless special permission is given by the Cooperative to start the motor with an across the line starter.

  3. All motors shall be wired according to the National Electric Code.

Roughrider Electric will not be responsible for any damage on consumer motors or equipment due to overload, loss of phase, or any electrical disturbance on the line. It is therefore recommended that the consumer provide the necessary equipment for complete motor and equipment protection.

All wiring of electrical devices to be managed must be done according to approved State Wiring Codes and Practices.
